Hello my name is Tom and I am in my mid 30's and I live in the rural county of Somerset. I started to create this Self Built Camper Van Website back towards the end of May 2017 and was launched in June 2017 because I wanted to document all of my pictures and videos together in one place. I have a YouTube channel where all of my videos are uploaded and a Facebook page where I upload many pictures and updates. So I descided to create this website so that everyone can see the content that I share with easy access all from one place and suitable for all.

Back at the start of the year in January 2017 I spent all of my spare time doing research on camper van conversions, watching different videos on van builds, online research, pricing up materials and looking at vans online within my price range and I had an idea more or less on what I wanted to do when I got a van. Most of my friends have vans and it was about time that i got one. I do quite alot of fishing and I am a licienced radio HAM and so with a van I have plenty of space for all of my fishing gear and I have no problem staying out over night. I work 4 on and 4 off perment nights. With the van I plan on travelling around the country at every possiable chance.

At the end of January 2017 I purchested a Mercedes Benz Vito Van 2.2L 1**CDI which I have already started to convert into a camper and hoping to have it finished in a year but no rush. I am well into the wild camping and prefer to stay in remote places. I would rather not pay the high charges that some of these campsites charge.

I have had many trips away to Cornwall, Wales. In July I travelled up to Norfolk for a week and in August I travelled up to Scotland for 10 nights and did the NC500 and the Isle of Skye.

Christmas I am heading back up to Scottland for a week for the New Year

I hope you like what I have done so far so please subscribe to me on my YouTube channel.

Please feel free to check out the Facebook page and give a thumbs up and follow for updates.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look.
